Full time writer, with special focus in historical novels based on the life of missionaries from XVI to XVIII Centuries.
His first novel “Morir en Japón” (To die in Japan) about the Franciscan missionary fr. Bartolomew Laurel, death by tornfire in Japan, was published in 2011 by the Archidiocese of Acapulco, with the seal of approbation (Imprimatur) of the Archbishop Garfias.
His second novel “Espinas” (Thorns), about the Franciscan missionary fr. Anthony Margil, has been published in its Spanish edition, in 2012 with the support of the Franciscan Province of Saints Peter and Paul of Michoacan, Mexico. The book was reviewed and approved by the postulator of the canonization cause of fr. Margil in Rome, Italy.
Fernando Pérez Valdez is also co-author of the art book “Santuario de Nuestra Señora de El Pueblito”, about the shrine located near Querétaro, México.
